On the evening of June 17, 2015, nine people were killed inside the church during a Bible Study. Found to be a hate crime, the Parishioners of this 200-year-old congregation showed the world how true faith becomes a part of everyday life. Even when evil appears and makes no sense family members of some of the victims attended the assailants first court appearance and offered forgiveness.
