It’s not  unusual to hear travelers passing through South Carolina and Georgia comment on the outdoor smell.  Some make a quick assumption that it is industry when in fact it is from a very natural resource the salt marsh.   Natural wildlife inhabited areas are open to walk through on trails and you will have a “spa like” feeling after a short period of time from the quiet peaceful environment.   So hop off the I95 when your nose starts to itch in the low country and pamper yourself to a free retreat.

Happy travels 🙂
