I started the trail as usual, but the sound of the lake made me curious.
Getting close to the water wasn’t as scary here in Oregon, no alligators to deal with. So, I ignored the trail sign and cut into the forest.
As I enjoyed listening to the frogs, I soon realized I turned myself around, and to get back to the trail would involve walking on a mud path.
But it appears that I’m not the only one that likes an adventure. Some creative wanderer carved a set of mud stairs on the hillside.
Talk about slip, sliding away 🙂
