Epcot Center World Showcase

Walt Disney World-Orlando Florida

During the month of January I keep an eye on the weather in central Florida. When I spot a few days of sunshine and comfortable temperatures, off we go to Disney World. The parks are not as crowded, hotels rates are reasonable, and it’s an easy time to check out the popular restaurants without limited reservations available.

Epcot is my favorite of the theme parks and always has been. The younger folks tend to like the parks with the thrill seeking roller coasters, but not me. I can walk and browse all day at the World Showcase. It is a 1.2 mile walk around a 40 acre lagoon. Each pavilion has a country represented, with cultural dining, gift shops, clothing, music, building design and more.

If walking and getting around is a concern don’t let that hold you back from visiting. Anywhere you may be in Walt Disney World, transportation and accommodations to move people are fantastic. That includes inside and outside of the theme parks.

I hope you enjoyed a peek at Walt Disney World, plan to stay for about 2 weeks to see and do it all 🙂

  1. Thanks so much for the link, Alice! It must be nearly 30 years since we were in Epcot, but I loved it, and being Disney, I’m sure it’s all been updated and kept immaculate. The whole world in a day!
