Salt marshes rank among the most productive ecosystems in the world. South Carolina has about one half millions acres of marshland, more marsh than any other Atlantic coast state.

If you don’t mind getting your feet wet, when the tide is out you can get a peak at crabs and small shell fish swimming around.
