A Symbol Of Hospitality-Pineapple Fountain

Charleston Waterfront Park-South Carolina

The two hour drive from Savannah to Charleston is something I look forward to doing a few times a year.   I always take the coastal Hwy 17 that passes through beautiful Beaufort and has scenery and historical markers along the way.

I always park in one of the city ramps, that avoids the worries of getting back to the meter in time.  Charleston is so beautiful and so full of historic monuments and buildings that you will just want to see more and more.

Also, the shopping and restaurants is excellent, so set some time aside to browse around the market area.

The Waterfront Park is located along the Cooper River, within walking distance to many historical sites.

And here’s a travelers tip for visiting Charleston or Savannah, bring comfy shoes because many of the streets are cobblestone.

Charleston is a year round destination with mild winters 🙂
