Columbia Square-Savannah Georgia

One of the smaller of 22 squares in Savannah Georgia.  Popular for the historic Isaiah Davenport house and relaxing on bench among the green space.

Located on Habersham between State and York Streets the square is easily noticed by the flowing fountain in the center.  The Fountain placed in the square in the 1970’s was imported from Wormsloe Plantation, a historic site on the Isle of Hope.

I do apologize if I have gotten carried away with the beauty of Savannah, but I did not forget all of you “door lovers” so here they are:

This is an excellent location in the historic district of Savannah. Easy to walk to just about everything, but also keep in mind that Savannah has a fare free shuttle touring the historic district.

Savannah averages 216 days of sunshine a year, and it is such a cool city mixed with an abundance of history.
