A Tradition from Sicily

March 19th-The feast of St. Joseph

As the celebration of St. Patrick on March 17th comes to an end, many folks turn their focus to Saint Joseph.

The Saint Josephs table is a tradition for many families and church parishes. It was brought to the United States by Sicilian Immigrants.  The table at the celebration is decorated with a  statue, fruits, bread, and flowers.  Dinner is meatless.

I have not been to one in many years, but I did find a copy of one of my Mom’s recipes.
