An early morning thump at the front door or the morning paper handed to them at the corner newsstand was once how most folks found out the current state of the world.

After reading a paper from front to back, differences of opinions arose.  Like the twenty-four-hour news networks of today,  it was easy to confuse news with a writer’s personal views.
