One of my Grandmother’s baking tips
I don’t use a recipe for baking apple pie, but my Grandmother taught me to use a mix of apples and it won’t be really sweet.
I keep it very simple:
- Apples, enough to fill the shell
- cinnamon to taste
- sugar
- flour
- butter
- pinch of salt
- I also use Crisco, flour and a dash of salt for the crust
