Hunting Island South Carolina is located in Beaufort County, 16 miles east of Historic Beaufort. For Interstate 95 travelers it is between Savannah Georgia and Charleston South Carolina.
The beach is beautiful white sand and it a great time collecting shells. The State Park has an entry fee and there is also a fee to go up in the lighthouse. Campsites are available and facilities are available.
The drive from the City of Beaufort will take you through the islands of St Helena and Lady’s Island. Restaurants, farm markets, gift shops, and a touch of the Gullah Culture will be along the route with you.
