Three weeks ago I was working online for several hours. My left leg just above my knee started itching and swelling. I shook the blanket off that the laptop was resting on and thought I must have been bit by a spider. Later that evening I noticed a welt on my right wrist, I shrugged it off as a clever little bug. After a few days I noticed these areas became dark and still stayed itchy. I applied Calamine and Benadryl lotion, and nothing helped.
Here I am weeks later and I am scarred, and still slightly itching. It finally dawned on me while working again in the same manner that these are burns. It didn’t hurt or sting and I did not feel the heat.
It’s scary to me because I can only imagine what is happening to our ears and head with the phone up against them all the time….
