Sculpture Formed From Community Donated Blankets

Portland International Airport

Artist Marie Watt creates from blankets donated by the community. Stories and memories accompany the donations, and provide an insight into the generous givers.

The artist is a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and often reference structures such as totem poles.

A tall stack of colorful folded blankets stands in a modern lobby space, with large windows reflecting the surroundings. Two people are seated on a sofa in the background.
