Natural Navigators

January has been good to us here in Coastal Georgia and South Carolina. The mild temperatures have the wildlife out of their shelters.

Our Canadian geese visitors are having such a fine time that they don’t realize the traffic backup they have created.

The coastal shore birds find their way flying solo or swimming together.

The bird photos were taken on January 7, 2025 at Jarvis Creek Park on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.

I also had a big surprise when I spotted this fellow laying on the edge of the lake. Yikes! They are out early this year. Lucky for me he has plenty to eat in this lake.
