Hurricane Erin Impacts Tybee Island

Tybee Island, Georgia-Fishing Pier and Pavilion

The ocean kicked up with Hurricane Erin offshore in the Atlantic. The storm passed coastal Georgia staying about 400 miles to the east. Beach goers enjoyed the breeze but by Tuesday the double red flags were posted, warning folks to use extreme caution. Stronger than usual rip currents and crashing waves were noticeable. The pier offers a good view of the coast line and white caps to visitors.
