Vancouver, British Columbia
Granville Island is high on the list of Canada’s favorite tourist destinations. It is a vibrant neighborhood in Vancouver located on a False Creek peninsula. It is accessible by walking, bus, car and ferry. We rode the False Creek ferry to take in the offshore view of Vancouver.

The ferries run every fifteen minutes and the loading platform was minutes from our hotel.

When I travel, I usually look for places that are off the beaten path. However, I enjoyed the day because of the artsy flair and variety of shops and dining. Washrooms, and facilities to take a rest are also available to the public.

June was a perfect month to visit. It was busy but not overly crowded. The flowers were blooming and the trees were green.

Shopping and sightseeing for everyone 🙂

Local wildlife greets the visitors. Caution signs displayed to keep the resident ducks safe while they take a “Monday Walk“.

The best part of all is when the day is coming to an end and it’s time for dessert.
