Historic Guyton, Georgia
The Central of Georgia Railroad was built through Guyton in 1835. Being one of the first nationwide, it was a contributor to the town’s growth. The depot was featured a colored exterior with a cupola, and red roof. During that period of time, the train offered transportation to Savannah. It gave local residents the opportunities the city offered. Wealthy citizens of Savannah, also choose the Guyton location for summer and second home residences.

The mural was created by local artist Lindsey Gerow.

The 20×40 mural is located downtown at 216 Central Avenue.
I hope you are enjoying the sites of Coastal Georgia and South Carolina 🙂
