Madison’s Historic Treasure-The Rogers House

Downtown Madison Georgia

Madison is a small city in middle Georgia south of Athens. The historic area offers shopping, dining, historic homes and buildings. The area was listed on the National Register of Historic places in 1974.

Afternoons on the tree lined streets is not the best time to take photos. Long branches leave shadows high and low.

The Rogers House built around 1809-1810 is one of the oldest homes in Madison. Today the home is open for tours and showcases a middle class home from its era.
