The “Three Kings” building was built in the early 1920’s, and was Portland’s first library. Formerly known as the “Bank of California, and the” Durham and Bates” building. The “Italianate” building features an ornate main entrance surrounded by marble. Designed by Architect A.E. Doyle.

The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
