My most recent cross country road trip took 6 days, to get from coast to coast. For anyone hesitant to make this drive, start planning. We scheduled 8 hours of driving a day, with a 2 hour lunch stop and sightseeing break. Also, we arrived at our reserved hotels before dark which gave us an opportunity to dine at a local restaurant and see some of the sites. It’s an amazing drive, with more than one route to take.

  1. What a great idea to capture the essence of your stops from coast to coast, Alice! Thanks for the hints on taking a road trip, too! I’ve been blessed to see much of the West, but I enjoyed seeing your east coast images as well!

  2. A fantastic trip! Since my husband retired I have decided I love road trips! I just want to plan them out. I do not like to drive too many hours or days at a time. But I love seeing the landscapes! The marshland photo is my favorite! 😊
