Buffalo, New York-
The City of Buffalo, also known as “The Queen City of the Great Lakes”, has the largest collection of grain elevators in the world. Located on the shore of Lake Erie, Buffalo was once number one in the United States for grain storage. Today, local preservationists work to preserve and renew the structures. The world’s first brewery inside a silo is located at the RiverWorks an entertainment destination on the Buffalo, River.


In 2023 the Great Northern elevator the preservationist lost their fight to save the structure and it was demolished.

In 1930, Buffalo was the leading flour milling center of the nation. Most of the Cheeri-Oats consumed were made in Buffalo. In 1945 they were renamed Cheerios and offers a sweet oat aroma traveling in the winds.
