Hurricane Idalia-August 30th 2023-Savannah Georgia
It’s been a long day but it looks like Hurricane Idalia is moving on. Hopefully, our neighbors in South Carolina will be safe throughout the night. The big issue at this point is restoring power to over 200,000 folks in the State of Georgia.
The first alert I received was at 5:22 a,m. when the phone let out a loud emergency tone. The rain bands were beginning. By 7 a.m. it was a steady downpour.
