Ocala Florida to Savannah Georgia
Traveling back from Florida on Sunday could have been a “stop and go” if I chose to use Interstate 95. After studying my GPS I decided to drive by way of US 301. I have used this route before during heavy holiday traffic. This past weekend was the end of the Easter and Spring break season so opting for this route was an easy decision.

Some of the best scenery is on the old US routes. The 301 passes through Okefenokee Swamp, many “one stop light” towns, and historic sites. And if you’re anything like me stopping at a “Mom and Pop” owned restaurant and enjoying the small town community art is a real treat.

US Route 301 runs through the southern states for more than 1000 miles. If time is your friend it’s a great ride.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂
