Part of my vacation planning includes the search for public transit. Doing this in the planning stage helps me determine how easy it will be to get to the places on my “to-go” list. It also falls into budget planning, so checking the fares is on the “must do” list.
Recently, during my visit to Portland, Oregon, I used the TriMet, which includes both the train and bus transfers included with the fare.
And……they offer the “honored citizen” ticket for the over 65 patrons, and that includes me.
For $2.50, I could ride all day.
That made me one happy traveler 🙂
