Parris Island South Carolina
Parris Island South Carolina is recognized by most for their motto “We make Marines”. The Marine Corps Recruit Depot has been the site of training for over 100 years, establishing bootcamp here in 1915.
Located in Beaufort County South Carolina, it has become one of the visitors destinations in the area. There is a 15 mile loop driving tour of monuments and sites, a museum and the Charlesfort-Santa Elena National Historic Landmark.
Interstate 95 travelers can easily reach Parris Island from the Ridgeland, Hilton Head Island or Hardeeville exits.
