A Chilly, Damp Week

The week started off with a sunny warm Monday and a grim forecast for the next seven days.

With that being said it was the motivation I needed to get out of the house and do a bit of exploring. Hubby and I packed a lunch and drove northwest out of Savannah following the Ogeechee River or for historical purposes the route General Sherman took on his “march to the sea”.

About 70 miles north of Savannah we stopped at Magnolia Springs State Park. What we learned was that this was once the site of Fort Lawton Confederate Prison Camp.

And we did get a peek at the wildlife enjoying the sun just as we were.

The remainder of the week I managed to squeeze a daily walk in between the rain showers, and started the dreaded task of organizing tax papers.

All the Valentines Day goodies for the Grandchildren made it to the mailbox.

My recommendation for a Netflix one day binge is “The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel”.

Perfect for a rainy day 🙂

As for my coffee I found a creamer that is healthy and delicious
