On Folly Beach South Carolina there are twenty receptacles placed at locations along the beach to dispose of cigarette butts.
The Surfrider Foundation of Charleston South Carolina sponsors the “butt” program to deal with the important issue of cigarette butts polluting the ocean. Click here to review the petition to request the city council to ban cigarettes on the beach’s sandy areas.
Folly Beach is located near Historic Charleston and is a popular with surfers.
