Ridgeland South Carolina
There’s never been a better time to search out nature trails for walks that easily keep one in line with the social distancing rules.
This trail is at exit 21 of Interstate 95 in South Carolina. At the entrance of the trail is a small park for travelers to take a rest, get a bite to eat and even let the pets out.
Just before the entrance is an area to walk your pets and relax. The blue heron sculpture sets the tone for the coastal community.
The entrance to the park has an information board and the palm tree and crest is the South Carolina state symbol
Walkers appreciate the recycled rubber used to cushion the quarter mile trail around the three acre pond.
The pond is full of fish but they are for viewing only.
I didn’t see any alligators along the way, but I keep a keen eye open because they are definitely in the pond hiding.

I hope you enjoyed the beautiful scenery of South Carolina, and thanks for visiting
