Before the “sold” sign

The period of time that parties enter into a sales contract and the actual transfer of ownership is referred to as the “sale pending” period.  Real estate professionals often get calls from for sale signs that state sale pending, under contract or in escrow.   The availability of the property at this time will be subject to the performance of a primary agreement.  Purchasers should not get discouraged from considering these properties.  At times, many conditions determine the outcome of a real estate transaction.  For this reason, it is always a good idea to pursue a home or property if the owner is willing to accept back up offers.
