I’m officially two days past my return date on this wonderful get-a-way to Germany. My little bears have been keeping me busy with cooking, laundry, washing dishes, and grocery shopping. Some of the things I love to do.
I have few hours of free time while they are at school but it goes quickly. Today I took the train to Weiden and spent some time browsing the stores for bargains. The city centre that is just a short walk from the train station. It’s interesting how I meet so many folks to talk with in the cafe’s and on the train. My little bit of German and their little bit of English gets along quite well.
I stopped into a store that reminds me of a Walgreen’s or CVS. They have two things at the entrance that belong together. All retailers, restaurants, and gas stations take note! A cart with a magnifying glass on the handle. In any language reading with this is a great thing, especially for us that never remember to bring the readers along.
My plan for this trip was not to be a tourist but be a Grandma. My “Sweet E” the pastry chef daughter seems to be enjoying the hellp and company. The weather report said snow is expected next week, so I hear Savannah calling. We’ll see……I have my mind on the Christmas markets.
Good day friends!
Lovely coloured creeper on the building and you got the reflection in the shop windows – nice work!
thank you, glad you enjoyed it
