Starke Florida
Just south of Jacksonville located off Florida Hwy 16 is a Florida National Guard training base established in 1939. During World War II it was used as a major Army training center. Today it is still used by the Florida National Guard and features a museum that documents the history of the base. On November 11th the museum will host a ceremony in honor of Veterans Day.
