Located on US 41, Marion County Florida
Rainbow Springs is a National Natural Historic Landmark, and Florida’s fourth largest spring. The state park offers swimming, canoeing, camping, hiking, gardens, waterfalls, snorkeling and wildlife viewing. The water is crystal clear but to the eye has an aquamarine color.
The temperature of the spring stays at 72 degrees year- round. For swimmer’s I would suggest that you jump right in at the designated swimming area. It is so refreshing and clean that it takes just a minute to feel comfortable. The designated swimming area has a deck with stairs for easy access to the spring.
If you look close enough you can see the bubbling of water coming up from below the ground.
