The Benjamin Franklin Bridge-Crossing The Delaware River

All great cities have great bridges. The City of Philadelphia connects to Camden New Jersey by a span of 9,650 feet clearing 135 feet above the Delaware River. Building of the bridge was complete in 1926 and it was originally named the Delaware River Bridge. In 1956 the Delaware Port Authority renamed the bridge to honor Benjamin Franklin, a great patriot, scientist, and statesman.
