The Change Of Human Walking: From Four Legs To Two

Fossil remains

Fossil remains of an early ancestor

Advertisements

Evidence shows that humans began upright walking around 7 million years ago. But at that time they did not show characteristics of being a civilization. It was much later, about 6 thousand years ago the first signs of colonizing, agriculture, and writing is documented.

It’s hard to imagine but our ancient ancestors got around on all fours. This information is on the wall in a subway tunnel in Portland, Oregon.
