Baker Pond-Springfield, Georgia
A sure sign of spring in Coastal Georgia is the flowering red buds.
Yesterday, along the walking trail at one of my favorite parks, there it was. Adding a touch of pink to the beautiful warm day I couldn’t resist snapping a photo.

The eastern red bud is a small tree that is native to the Savannah area.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying the sites of Coastal Georgia and South Carolina 🙂
Alice
Beautiful blooms, Alice! When we lived in Sacramento these trees would bloom in March! I miss seeing them so this was a treat.
Wonderful! We have what I think of as Joshua Trees just beginning to bloom here, Alice. A little similar. There’s a dark pink and a pale pink variety xx
