Alligators and the Okefenokee Swamp

The Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge is at the headwaters of the Suwannee and St. Maryโ€™s Rivers. It is world renowned for its amphibian populations. The refuge has over 350,000 acres of wilderness. It also provides a habitat for many endangered species including the indigo snake and the wood stork.
