Monterey Square, Savannah, Georgia
Situated in the center of the square among the live oaks is the Pulaski Monument. Completed in 1854 the monument is made of Italian marble and stands 55 feet tall. General Pulaski fought for the cause of American Independence. He died on the battlefield not far from where the monument is located.
Savannah is a year round visitors destination with mild winter temperatures and steamy hot summers.
