Forest Grove, Oregon

Forest Grove is a small city located in the foothills of the Coast Range at the base of the Tillamook State Forest. The city boosts a lot of history and has six estate wineries. College Hall at Pacific University is the oldest educational building west of the Mississippi.

To celebrate its 150th anniversary the City Council funded a new interactive mural.

Ursula Barton along with the help of dozens of children painted a cityscape of the downtown area. It is located on the side of Frey’s Action Athletics on Pacific Avenue. The children threw paint filled balloons against the wall and the artwork was painted on top of the colorful palette.

The rocking chair on the left side of the mural symbolizes the calming feeling of sitting on a front porch in a charming mountain view community.
