Hopscotch is an age old game bringing hours of fun to everyone. The outdoor game is played across many countries with some variations. But the things that don’t change are that it is played outdoors, and the only items needed are a pack of chalk and a sidewalk.
The number 7 block is a good halfway point for a warm up toss.
The idea of the game is to throw a pebble into one of the numbered blocks, then hop on one foot to recover it. Upon recovery turn around and make your way back out of the board. the player then initials the square and whoever has the most squares at the end wins.!!!
Growing up in the 1960’s leaves only great memories. Hopscotch, tag, freeze ball, hide and seek, and riding our bikes around the neighborhood kept us healthy, happy and hungry.
