Fish Haul-Port Royal Sound-South Carolina
On the north east side of Hilton Head Island South Carolina, the Port Royal Sound is a mecca for migrating and local shorebirds.

It also has a sandy coast full of seashells. Seashells play a vital part in preventing erosion. Bits and pieces of shells that broke from crashing waves, pounding rocks, and time settle. The hundreds of year old shells mix into the sand, providing protection for other organisms, and stabilizing the sea bed.

Fish Haul is located in the historic Gullah neighborhood of Bay Gall. Nature and history lovers will find an abundance of treasures. Its shallow shoreline is not good for swimming, so it is never crowded.
