Portland International Airport-2014
In 2014 Travel Portland’s Winter Ad campaign displayed a 24 foot tall cuckoo clock to greet visitors at Portland International Airport. The clock was made from a single Oregon maple tree and carved by chainsaw artist Chester Armstrong.
Travel Portland is a non-profit marketing organization to encourage travel to the area. They also support local exhibitors and sponsor community events.
2024
The clock is no longer on exhibit but Sasquatch is still greeting passengers while reading a book of poetry. The sculpture is located in the baggage claim area near the Welcome Center.
