After returning home from yesterday’s afternoon outing, we found our front door wide open. Leaving without locking up has now been added to the “things to remember” checklist. Whether it’s caused by a senior moment, an unplanned distraction, or too much “moonshine” during the eclipse, securing the home is a good idea.
After looking around and noticing everything was still in its place, I imagined one of two things had probably happened.
At first, no one came by, and no one entered our home.
Second, someone entered, looked around, and decided that the easy-to-grab items would be more useful in a 1980s documentary.
