Hi Alice, I’ve seen those thorns on citrus before. I asked Will to pull the plant out of the ground because when the tree freezes below the graft it doesn’t bear good fruit and these thorn are worse. He wrapped heavy cloth around the thorny part and he still lost the fight!! Poor Will! So in Florida we have to be careful purchasing our citrus trees. Buy it with fruit and always taste before purchase. Have a nice day♡
