Savannah Georgia
It’s been a while since I’ve been out and about in my home city of Savannah. For those of you that love the scenes of this beautiful city, here’s a building from 1865 with a good story.
The school was in continuous service from 1856 to 1974, except for a brief period of time that it was used as a hospital by federal troops during General Sherman’s occupation of Savannah during the Civil War. It is still used today by the Chatham County Board of Education as a Massie Heritage Center.
