Vernonia Lake Mill Pond-
Located 34 miles from Portland the City of Vernonia is a former pioneer settlement dating back to 1874. Surrounded by forests its historic roots are in the lumber industry. There is a 45-acre reservoir now used as a fishing spot and walking trail. Along the trail are the remains of the Oregon-American Lumber Company mill.
The old fuel house has not become a site for graffiti art and a four wall mural. The open roof area allows the trees room to grow with rain and natural light.
To claim your spot bring a ladder 🙂
The mill has not been in operation since 1957
If you find yourself on the Oregon coast here is the location of this graffiti mural.
