St. Pete Beach-Florida
Spur of the moment road trips are the best. Last weekend while sitting around we started talking about visiting the gulf coast and we decided not to wait.
Rates are much lower in September and the crowds have thinned out. We decided to stay at the Long Key Resort on St. Pete Beach not far from Tampa. The resort is a 1950’s style beachfront motel.
Our room had one bedroom, living room, bath, large closet and a well equipped kitchen. Onsite amenities include a pool, community table and grills, sunbathing deck, laundry facility and free parking.
The gulf waters are crystal clear and bath warm, like a relaxing spa.
The sugar white sand with the turquoise water of the gulf attracts visitors year round.
In 2021 St Pete beach was named the #1 beach in the US by Tripadvisors community of travelers.
