Today our internet and cable shut down at 8 am and stayed out until 7 pm. After cleaning the house, and mowing the yard I took advantage of the quiet time. I have been reading “Where the Crawdads sing” in anticipation of the movie being released this month. So, I sat in the recliner and dove right into the world of the “marsh girl”.
I would describe the story of one of feelings of many kinds. Love, abandonment, and hatred. The movie will be beautiful because the description of the marsh scenes, wildlife, and coastline in the story are magnificent.
It’s an easy read all the way through, with a few twists and turns to keep the pages turning.
I am also planning to see the movie (haven’t read the book) 🙂
I have not heard of it. But being forced to relax with a book sounds just fine with me!
