Lunch on Meeting St. Charleston South Carolina

Charleston South Carolina is a historic city known for its variety of fine dining.  A top choice for tourists and the locals is Hyman’s Seafood on Meeting Street.  Located within walking distance to the Old City Market, they offer a good selection of seafood along with a full menu of traditional southern dishes.  I had the fried chicken and waffles, and in case you’re wondering, the answer is “yes”, you do drizzle the maple syrup over the chicken.

The rain was on and off but I did manage to get some photos along with my leisurely walk of at least 100 steps after every meal.

The Old City market offers a variety of local artists and vendors.

Kings St and Meeting St have block after block of shopping and restaurants

The city is so beautiful and you will want to bring your walking shoes and venture out of the business district and walk about the residential areas.

Here are a few more photos as I walked toward the parking garage, my next visit I promise I’ll get the homes on the waterfront…

For I 95 Travelers exit I 26 east in South Carolina and you will be welcomed with true southern hospitality 🙂
